WHY SOUTH ASIANS SHOULD VOTE

The November 2024 elections are crucial for the future of our community and our country. As South Asians, our voices and votes have the power to shape policies that affect our lives, from education and healthcare to immigration and civil rights. By participating in the electoral process, we ensure that our needs and concerns are heard and addressed. Let's come together to make a difference and show the strength of our community at the polls.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES

  • Voter Registration Deadline: October 7, 2024

  • Early Voting Period: October 21, 2024 - November 1, 2024

  • Election Day: November 5, 2024

  • Mail-in Ballot Request Deadline: October 25, 2024

  • Mail-in Ballot Submission Deadline: November 5, 2024

WHAT'S ON THE BALLOT?

This November, voters will decide on a range of important issues and positions, including:

  • Presidential Election: Electing the President and Vice President of the United States.

  • Congressional Elections: Electing members of the House of Representatives and Senate.

  • State and Local Elections: Including governor, state legislators, judges, and local officials.

  • Ballot Measures: Proposals on various policy issues that can impact our community.

HOW TO VOTE

  1. Register to Vote: Ensure you are registered to vote by the deadline. You can check your registration status and register online.

  2. Learn About the Candidates and Issues: Educate yourself on the candidates and issues on the ballot. Attend local candidate forums and read nonpartisan voter guides.

  3. Vote Early or on Election Day: You can vote early in person or by mail. If you choose to vote on Election Day, find your polling place and plan your trip.

  4. Bring Your ID: Make sure you have the necessary identification required to vote in your state.
